Buried in the Italian countryside
Il Mulino is a 17th-century watermill nestled in forest in the foothills of the Apuan Alps. Stone walls that have heard the rush of the Lima river for centuries now frame four en-suite bedrooms, arranged across a house that has been thoughtfully returned to life without surrendering an ounce of its old soul.
The characterful interior unfolds across a large family kitchen with modern appliances, an island, seating area and wood burner, plus a formal dining room with a table for up to 12 guests. Three bedrooms are arranged for sleeping, while the fourth is set up as a salotto with a double sofa bed, office desk and en-suite shower room.
Outside, the garden descends towards the sound of the river. The pool, lavanderia changing room, shaded terrace, gated parking and EV charger make the house practical as well as peaceful. Mulino offers that rare thing: genuine seclusion, with every comfort quietly in attendance.
